BENEFITS AND DISABILITY

I was under the impression that most insurance companies provided the same or at least similar coverage.  I guess that I should have paid a little bit more attention to exactly what kind of insurance I was paying for when I started my new job.  When it came time for me to file a claim for Chicago long term care benefits after my accident – I was denied.  I don’t know what I’m going to do now – it’s not as if I can afford to pay these bills myself.  I don’t even have any money coming in at this point; I’ve been out of work since the accident and was counting on the benefits and disability to help me get by.  From what I’ve seen so far, even if I were brining home my regular salary I wouldn’t have been able to pay them and survive anyway.  That’s why I had insurance in the first place, because the cost of medical care these days is so high.  If doctors charged next to nothing for their services then I wouldn’t be paying close to five hundred dollars a month for medical coverage, but I didn’t take the time at the beginning to see what my insurance was actually covering so it looks I’m up the proverbial river without a paddle.
